Affliction

Passion is a highly dangerous and combustible element.  It is capable of being transcendent, and thus, propelling you to unequaled heights.  However, it can become all-consuming and devour everything of lasting value around it.  It can be both a positive force and a negative force, often at the same time.  It can motivate you to move forward, or it can stymie you by holding you fast in a terrible place.  It can ignite and it can smother.  It is powerful, and has the power to make you powerless.  And it’s impossible to not have it once you have it.

I seem to have surrendered to it, constantly, in my life.  At least I’m consistent.
