Purgatorio

Deposited here in this no man’s land,

Between the cavernous loneliness of the past

And the unknown path of the future stretched out like a bell rope,

There is little to do but wait.

The effort has been made,

The questions have been asked in the correct order.

The answer is out of my hands now,

Whatever die has been cast is done.

Nothing but to smile and be patient,

Continue a good and decent journey if possible

And allow what will be to be.
