Infatuation vs. Love

Somewhere under the adrenaline rush of the initial sight

Of the smile that pierces me just over my heart

Spins a calm breeze that carries the songs of Spring

Summer, Autumn and Winter

With all their melody and harmony.

Beside the turbulent whirlpool

From watching the curling lilt of your hair

Grows the greenest lushest grass

Watered by the beauty that glides effortlessly from your lips

Your hands, your eyes,

And gently cradles and envelops each heartbeat.

Somewhere in the endless hustle bustle crush and rush

Of what every day brings upon us in heaps and loads

There is a soft quiet place filled

With only you and me

And a silent breath between us.

A foolish person once claimed that good things come to those who wait.

But patience is not merely waiting.

The cruelty of impatience oppresses the open heart.
